Accelerating Internal Dimensions and Nonzero Positive Cosmological Constant

چکیده

We present a new scenario for the moduli stabilization with very small but nonzero positive cosmological constant $\lambda$. In this complex structure are still stabilized by three-form fluxes as in usual flux compactifications, K$\ddot{\rm a}$hler modulus is not fixed KKLT scenario. our case scale factor of internal dimensions basically allowed to change time. But at supergravity level it set dynamical (plus constraint) equations defined on 4D spacetime, nonperturbative corrections KKLT. Also shown that $\lambda$ fine-tuned zero, $\lambda =0$, same equations. This result changes once we admit $\alpha^{\prime}$-corrections string theory. The fine-tuning $\lambda=0$ into = \frac{2}{3} Q$, where $Q$ representing quantum 6D action and its value determined $\alpha^{\prime}$-corrections. It also must be time evolve almost rate external

A small but nonzero cosmological constant

Recent astrophysical observations seem to indicate that the cosmological constant is small but nonzero and positive. The old cosmological constant problem asks why it is so small; we must now ask, in addition, why it is nonzero (and is in the range found by recent observations), and why it is positive. In this essay, we try to kill these three metaphorical birds with one stone. That stone is th...

The Cosmological Constant and Warped Extra Dimensions

Abstract We study the behavior of a general gravitational action, including quadratic terms in the curvature, supplemented by a compact scalar field in 4 + 1 dimensions. The generalized Einstein equation for this system admits solutions which are compact in one direction and Poincaré invariant in the remaining directions. These solutions do not require any fine-tuning of the parameters in the a...

Why do we observe a small but nonzero cosmological constant?

The current observations seem to suggest that the universe has a positive cosmological constant of the order of H 2 0 while the most natural value for the cosmological constant will be L−2 P , where LP = (Gh̄/c3)1/2 is the Planck length. This reduction of the cosmological constant from L−2 P to L −2 P (LPH0) 2 may be interpreted as due to the ability of quantum microstructure of spacetime to rea...

How natural is a small but nonzero cosmological constant?

Based on our previous attempt, we propose a better way to understand a small but nonzero cosmological constant, as indicated by a number of recent observational studies. We re-examine the assumptions of our model of two scalar elds, trying to explain the basic mechanism resulting in a series of mini-in ations occuring nearly periodically with respect to ln t with t the cosmic time. We also disc...

Positive Cosmological Constant and Quantum Theory

We argue that quantum theory should proceed not from a spacetime background but from a Lie algebra, which is treated as a symmetry algebra. Then the fact that the cosmological constant is positive means not that the spacetime background is curved but that the de Sitter (dS) algebra as the symmetry algebra is more relevant than the Poincare or anti de Sitter ones. The physical interpretation of ...
